For some time now I have collected pictures of Great Yarmouth in times gone by.
A plan of Great Yarmouth in 1797 , the town still contained within the walls.
This is the open air swimming pool which was on the sea front until it was replaced by todays Marina Centre
Nelsons column standing alone on the South Denes before the industrial estate was built
The following two pictures show the Town House..also know as the Dutch House.. This building was the oldest in Great yarmouth and sat on the South Quay... It survived the bombing of the wars only to be demolished when town planners in the 1960s wanted to build a road from south quay to the newly built library...
